If you’re searching for a solid smartphone in the PKR 30,000 – 35,000 price range, the Redmi 15C deserves a real look. Xiaomi’s Redmi lineup has always been known for offering strong specs at a reasonable price, and this year’s Redmi 15C continues that legacy with some meaningful upgrades over last year’s model.
The biggest improvements are in battery size and charging speed, followed by a refreshed design and slight camera changes. In Pakistan, the phone comes in two variants: 4/128GB (PKR 32,000) and 6/128GB (PKR 34,000), with four colour options Moonlight Blue, Mint Green, Midnight Black, and a new Twilight Orange.
Design & Build
The design stays close to what we saw on the Redmi 13C, especially the camera module, which now follows the modern square style seen on the Note 14 series. The Twilight Orange variant brings a glossy peach-coral finish, while the Black and Green options come with a soft matte feel.
It’s a big device even slightly taller than some flagship phones but surprisingly comfortable in hand. The weight distribution is good, and even though it’s plastic all around, the phone feels balanced. You also get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3-card SIM tray, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sadly, it still uses a single bottom speaker, not dual speakers.
Display
The Redmi 15C features a 6.9-inch HD+ IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate. Yes, the resolution is still HD+, not Full HD, but the higher refresh rate makes general usage smooth. Brightness peaks at 810 nits, which is decent outdoors. The bezels are on the thicker side, and the waterdrop notch does make the phone look slightly outdated but in day-to-day usage, it performs just fine.
Performance
There’s no chipset upgrade this year. It still runs the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra, paired with Mali G52 GPU. Performance is decent for daily tasks like WhatsApp, social media, and video streaming. Light to semi-serious gaming is manageable, but heavy gamers may want to look at phones running the Helio G91 or better. Storage is eMMC 5.1, which slows down a bit as it fills up but nothing unusual for the price segment.
Out of the box, the phone runs Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, which feels smooth overall. There is some bloatware, but it’s removable. AI features like Google Gemini integration and Circle to Search are also available.
Battery & Charging
This is where the Redmi 15C truly shines. You get a massive 6000mAh battery paired with 33W fast charging, and Xiaomi claims 50% charge in 31 minutes. Thanks to the HD+ display and low-power chipset, most users can easily get 1.5 to 2 days, and even 3 days with light use. In the 30–35K price bracket, this is one of the strongest battery + charging combos available.
Camera
The camera setup is familiar a 50MP main sensor and a secondary 0.08MP depth lens. In good light, photos look saturated and sharp enough, but in low light the camera struggles, which is expected in this segment. Video is capped at 1080p/30fps.
The 8MP selfie camera is the main downgrade from last year, but surprisingly, it still delivers usable shots with good skin tones in proper lighting. Again, don’t expect miracles it’s an entry-level selfie camera.
Final Verdict
Overall, the Redmi 15C is a strong option for everyday users who prioritize battery life, smooth usage, and a big display. It’s not meant for heavy gaming or photography enthusiasts, but for the average Pakistani user looking for a reliable phone under 35K, this phone offers clear value for money.
